Entering the market with a successful launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 & Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, the Korean giant prevails higher expectations in the smartphone sector of India, intending to increase its market share by a whopping 50% from its current 35%.
IPhone dominates the higher super-premium sector of smartphones in India, but 35% of it is consumed by Samsung, which it now aims to conquer with a focus and a straight aim of 50%, according to sources.
India's smartphone market is considerably sensitive to innovation, design, and quality. Still, Samsung has firmly met all the standards and has been successful with all its fold & flip series, like its all-time hit Samsung Galaxy series.
South Korea
Samsung is all set to open its doors for accepting pre-orders in South Korea for the Galaxy Z Fold5 & Galaxy Z Flip 5 from August 1 to August 7, and the expected deliveries will start rolling from August 8.
Moreover, the overall availability of the devices will roll out in South Korea from August 11. It can be ordered from the official site of Samsung, live commerce sites, official Samsung stores in South Korea, and other authorized carriers.
Russia
Samsung is already running on sale and is accepting orders in Russia with the 256 GB Galaxy Z Fold5 rolling out for RUB 189,990 and Galaxy Z Flip5 rolling out for RUB 110,000 with next-day/same-day in-store pickup deliveries.
Despite the claims of Samsung disagreeing shipments in Russia amid the Ukraine war, the roll-out of its new series has been a hit in the country. However, the price range in Russia is 10% to 20% higher than in the USA.
India
Samsung started accepting pre-orders on July 27 in India across all live commerce stores, online sites, and its official Samsung website. Moreover, the devices sold in India will be "Made in India" straight out of the company's Noida manufacturing facility.
Despite having its largest facility in India, foldable smartphones were never manufactured in India. Samsung devices sold in India were previously manufactured in Vietnam and South Korea.
This is a big or rather wise step by Samsung following the past event of the first "Apple Store" in India. However, there is no change in the prices of the devices, and they will be sold equivalent to the US price range.
Unboxing Pre-order surprises
A cherry on top for pre-bookers is that Samsung offers a free storage upgrade. Suppose you order a device with 256 GB of storage; you could get a free upgrade to 512 GB.
The surprises do not stop there; Samsung is also offering a Samsung Care+ premium after-sales plan with a slim S Pen case for Galaxy Z Fold5 and a Flipsuit case for Galaxy Z Flip5. Those pre-ordering 1 TB storage devices will get the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 for free.
In Russia, local Samsung carriers are bundling the pre-orders or ongoing live orders with Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro or Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro. They are also available with more surprises on other Samsung-affiliated live commerce sites.
Moreover, in India, Samsung customers pre-ordering Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 will be eligible for benefits worth INR 20k to INR 23k. All of the surprises suggest Samsung's sleek aim of topping the charts and conquering the smartphone market.
