Samsung recently announced that an over-the-air (OTA) update had been carried out in India, allowing Live Translation and Interpretation functions for the Galaxy Buds series. Notably, these functions are available offline, utilising on-device processing capabilities and removing the requirement for a constant internet connection.
The Live Translation feature enables real-time call translation by displaying translated conversations on the screens of Galaxy S24 smartphones while interacting via Galaxy Buds. In contrast, the Interpretation feature provides seamless two-way interpretation, allowing for face-to-face talks via the Galaxy Buds interface.
With these developments, customers can talk straight into their Galaxy Buds microphone, and their translated voice will be instantaneously available on the Galaxy S24 series smartphones. This innovative integration encourages natural talks among users, eliminating the need to exchange phones back and forth for translated communications.
Furthermore, Samsung stated that these Galaxy AI functions are already being gradually sent out via OTA updates to Galaxy Buds users in India and would soon be available in other markets.
